AVR-3310CI

The AVR-3310CI Receiver has Dolby PLIIz processing new graphical user interfaces (GUI), iPod connectivity, Denon’s single HDMI connectivity and HDMI 1.3a compatibility with Deep Color, xv-Color and Consumer Electronics Control (CEC).The 3310 also includes networking options to stream audio and photos from their PCs and to connect to services like Rhapsody and Napster.

VM6BK

For Bowers & Wilkins VM6BK  discreet home theater or hi-fi stereo installations where a more contemporary aesthetic is desired, VM6 offers commensurate sound quality to B&W’s award-winning CM1 in stunning design. Used on the wall or on its dedicated stand, the VM6 has ample bass extension to fill a room with glorious sound and can be teamed up with a B&W subwoofer  for added performance.

Along with easy installation the VM6 offers 800 Series derived electro-acoustic technology that ensures it is among the best performing speakers of its type. It comprises a 130mm Kevlar® cone bass/midrange driver integrated via a first-order filter network with a Nautilus™ tube loaded 25mm aluminium dome tweeter. The reinforced structural polymer enclosure incorporates a Flowport™ equipped reflex port that can be modified by the insertion of a foam ring to help tune the speaker’s low frequency response to the listening environment.

Designed to provide an aesthetic match with the latest generation of softer styled plasma and LCD screens, the VM6 enclosure is available in black gloss finish. The table-stand, wall-bracket and floor-stand components are in hard anodised aluminum.

DBP1610

Combining superlative performance and high value, Denon’s latest affordable Blu-ray/DVD/CD player includes features and technologies found on our higher end models, such as HDMI Source Direct and 12 bit video processing. Standard definition DVDs never looked better thanks to i/p scaling and upconversion up to 1080p, along with digital video noise reduction to eliminate compression artifacts. The precision drive mechanism is center-mounted, and the chassis incorporates Denon’s Separated Unit Structure architecture, which separates key mechanical and electronic blocks into five separate sections to eliminate mutual interference. Equipped with an Ethernet port, the DBP-1610 features Blu-ray Profile 2.0 BD-Live web-enabled interactivity, as well as firmware upgrade capability. The latest specification HDMI output provides highest resolution Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD digital multi-channel audio compatibility, and the DBP-1610 is equipped with stereo analog outputs that feature high resolution Burr-Brown DACs for optimum audio purity. The DBP-1610 is able to handle a wide range of disc formats, including Blu-ray, DVD, DVD-R, DVD-RW, CD, CD-R and CD-RW discs, and features WMA, MP3 and DivxHD playback along with Kodak and Fuji picture disc playback capability for increased system flexibility.

ASW610XPBK

The Bowers & Wilkins ASW610XPBK, the most powerful of the 600 Series subwoofers, delivers the finishing touch – or finishing thump – to a hi-fi or home theatre system for larger rooms. Serious bass power is developed in a compact cabinet thanks to the unit’s twin 200W amplifiers and dual voice coil, long-throw 250mm driver. Equipped with audiophile-standard Class D circuitry, the unit remains cool and efficient under pressure.

M1B

The Bowers and Wilkins M1B has been engineered with the same design attributes and ethos as B&W’s larger ranges. Perhaps the most striking thing about the M-1 is the weight and strength of its curved aluminium cabinet. This is combined with a strong, glass-loaded ABS front baffle. Together they provide an excellent cabinet: the curved aluminium is stiff and the ABS offers excellent and appropriate damping characteristics.

The M-1’s drive units were developed by Bowers & Wilkins specifically for the design. The metal dome tweeter benefits from refinements developed for the new B&W 800 Series and includes Nautilus™ tube loading and neodymium magnets. The glass fibre bass/midrange cone’s ability to absorb standing waves has been further enhanced by the inclusion of five strategically placed resin filled slots that further minimise distortion.

The result of this detailed cabinet and drive unit engineering has allowed B&W’s engineers to borrow another feature from the new 800 Series and utilise the simplest of electronic equalisation in the M-1’s crossover. Each of the drive units is fed by only a single, carefully selected component. This approach to crossover design, although painstaking as it relies on optimising all of the physical components in a design, is crucial in achieving its aim of neither adding to nor subtracting from the original signal.
